Why are we buying turds for Christmas

Honestly what is the latest obsession with poo?!
I've been Christmas shopping for my children and so far have come across these in the "latest craze" section, I mean they are so gross they did make me heave a little and smile, but surely to god no one actually buys these and wraps them up for Christmas Day do they?!

Since the poo face emoji there does seem to be a bit of a poo thing going on, and I’m not up for it

FissionChips · 27/11/2018 12:13

You get free pieces of pretend sweetcorn to add to the “poo” with with first one 😂

PinkHeart5914 · 27/11/2018 12:16

Most dc in my experience just find poo funny and I see no harm in it. We all poo

Redpriestandmozart · 27/11/2018 12:19

Possibly following Japanese obsession with toilets and turds!

anitagreen · 27/11/2018 12:20

I can see the humour in it but it's bloody filth my daughter had a crafty look at it and said she wanted it, but I couldn't imagine her sitting there with a fake turd full of sweet corn in the middle of the front room ShockGrin

BrieAndChilli · 27/11/2018 12:25

DS got a pinple popper game for his birthday just gone, i cant quite bring myself to play it!
i do hate how everyting has to be themed nowadays - board games are board games we dont need 10 versions of monopoly or cleudo!!

AintNobodyHereButUsRavens · 27/11/2018 12:55

There is also Doggie Doo and Don't Step In It. I don't understand the obsession either Confused

I've bought my son hook a duck but instead of ducks, it's plastic poo's. It's disgusting but he's 4 so he'll LOVE IT!

PeonyTruffle · 27/11/2018 13:01

(And we also own don't step in the poo, I think we have a problem 🤣)

mermaidbutmytailfelloff · 27/11/2018 13:06

you need to put your phone on charge (misses the point entirely)

anothermothersusername · 27/11/2018 13:11

More plastic junk. I will refuse to buy my children toys like this along with the L.O.L crap when they are older.

anitagreen · 27/11/2018 13:38

@PeonyTruffle the hook a poo actually does sound quite fun I'm off to have a browse on Amazon 😂

Thesearmsofmine · 27/11/2018 13:43

I’m getting hook a poo for my boys, they love poo.

PeonyTruffle · 27/11/2018 13:44

It won't let me post a pic but search for 'fishin for floaters' on ebay

🤣🤢

I think it's disgusting, I am sick of seeing poo related games. There is hook a poo, doggy doo doo, play-dough poo, poo splat, step in poo, poo throwing games...list goes on. I have a son who finds toilet humour funny - so do I! I'm the first to laugh at a fart - but that doesn't mean I want to encourage kids to play with literal turds. Yes it's natural, shouldn't be embarrassed by it blah blah blah, but it won't be funny if a small child picks up a piece of dog shit and throws it or decides to play-dough mold their own because they have a toy version.

CarrieBlu · 27/11/2018 14:08

If anyone gives my girls Doggie Doo Doo or anything like that, the boxes will be finding their way to the charity shop sharpish.

SpamChaudFroid · 27/11/2018 14:11

Crikey. No wonder so many people grow up to have a poo fetish.

AdamNichol · 27/11/2018 14:32

No one's mentioned Unicorn poo - to tie in with that thread on unicorn dominance of girls' clothes

cece · 27/11/2018 14:46

I've just bought my son a stretch squidgy poo toy for his stocking.

KindergartenKop · 27/11/2018 16:37

The doggy doo game is awful. The poo has lost a bit of moisture so now we actually have to blow through the mouth of the dog to get the poo to come out of it's bum.
