Walnut Cabinet - help!

Posting for traffic!
We have just ordered our new sofas Grin these are a light grey colour. Our carpet is cream which will not be changing.
We are planning to have the curtains/rug in greys also.
Now, the issue is; we have a very large, walnut cabinet/side unit. It's beautiful and worth a bit so we don't want to sand it down/change the colour.
How on earth can I tie this in with the rest of the room?

This is all for the living room - any ideas on how I can tie together walnut with a cream carpet & light grey sofas? Confused

Colour of our sofa attached for reference!
Any and all ideas appreciated!

I'd warm it all up with some red or burgundy cushions so the walnut ties in.

Lovely Farrow and Ball Hay on the walls and mustard accents.

Thank you! Grin

What do we think of maybe a darker teal colour? Cusions/rug/curtains?

Google walnut furniture in grey/cream room. I think it will be fine, will make a feature of the cabinet. What colour wood is the rest of the furniture in that room?

Well that's just it mini - we have a large windowsil the same colour wood but the OH wants to sand & colour that so it'll be the only piece!

Maybe we could add some walnut shelves?

I am just putting a showroom together (grey walls have been painted, and grey carpet being installed as I type) and one of the main showpieces is a large walnut cabinet. It looks stunning so I wouldn't worry at all. Accent colours I am using are heathers, plums, thistle blue etc. Have a look at Abraham Moon fabrics as they would tie in beautifully. (That's not advertising BTW - I work for a cabinet makers!!)

Blanche you star Grin

I think it's the carpet colour that's throwing me off but we just can't replace in yet!
