How do those Christmas light projectors work? Are they easy to set up? How are they plugged in etc?

Following! I've seen some at Asda and am very tempted!

I really like them but I don't really know how they work.

They’re really easy. Mine plugs in inside by the door, the lead is really thin and fits between the door and the frame. I’ve got my projector on a spike (provided) in the flower bed, but it also comes with fittings to attach to a wall/ fence.

I've been wondering about getting one too. Are the cheap ones £20ish) any good, or would I just end up with feint fuzzy snowflakes if I tried to shine one over the front of my house?

We got one last year very easy to use plug in press on button and that was pretty much it - only thing is you need to have it quite a distance from house for a good coverage of lights so check the cable length or you might need to get outdoor extension lead which may increase cost - a lot of the cheaper ones had short leads - so much easier than putting lights up x

Ours was about £30 and is quite bright with clear snowflakes

How far away from house? There's not much room for mine.

We got a battery operated one from H&M last year.

Mine is about 3m from the front door at a 45 degree angle to the house, and covers about a 4.5-5m diameter patch of the house front. Further away would give more coverage.

Thanks all, I'm going to take the plunge and buy one!
