It's teeny and lovely. 1.8L of teeniness.

Tell me your failsafe recipes?

I always seem to end up drying out chicken or beef... BlushConfused

I made this on Saturday and it was delicious (even if I say so myself!)

I softened an onion, carrots and courgette, added 2 tablespoons of flour then cooked that off as bit. Shoved boiling water in slowly then added a chicken stock pot. Shoved all that in the slow cooker then I browned 8 chicken thighs and plonked them in. I added a bit more water (to only just cover) then a spoonful of mustard, seasoning and some mixed herbs.

Cooked on low for 7 hours.
Yummy!

Top tip: cover it with a tea towel for the first hour if you can, to get the temperature up faster

Ive got this little one too and I love it .
I just tend to use the Slow Cooker Sauce mix sachets that are in the packet sauce section of the supermarket as I find them really flavoursome but I always add extra little bits too. Also use the standard sauce mix packs but use about 1/3 of the water suggested , have had success with most including beef casserole , beef stew, pork casseroles , sausages , chicken curry etc

Favourites so far are the Somerset pork sachet and the slow cooker sausage & bean casserole mix
For that :
I Use a packet of bean & sausage mix , 10 sausages lightly browned , onions lightly fried for about one min , can of Heinz baked beans , tomato purée , dash of Lea n Perrins. It is anaaaazzing .
I cook on low setting for 9 hours

Things I’ve tried without sauce sachets are the small gammon joint , I paint it all over with honey then cook it in Coca Cola for 9 /10 hours on low
Have also tried the gammon with my own glaze of honey / soy sauce / sugar / mustard and tomato sauce . It was scrumptious Grin

I wish I bought mine years ago
I basically just bung stuff in and nothing has turned out bad yet Grin
