PIP and hospital stays

Hi, I hope someone can clear something up for me.

I have completed a PIP review form (she went onto to PIP a couple of years ago when it first came in). On it it asks about hospital stays since the last appointment and it mentions that they need to know incase of overpayments etc.

She was in hospital last year, for 3 days. In A&E and then admitted.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t know we had to inform anyone but I just need to know whether they’ll deduct this from a future payment? It’s just so I can explain to my nan whether she should expect a lower payment or not.

Thanks in advance

PIP stops if an inpatient for 28 days and restarts on discharge according to a quick google search.

Thank you! Not sure why I didn’t think of Google myself

Yes a few days is fine. It is a bit of a minefield sometimes! Like PP said, 28 days is when they start stopping payments.
Also worth being aware if anyone is claiming carers allowance and the person they look after is in hospital for 28 days, that also gets stopped.
But please don't worry in this case, you will be fine
