Magimix or kitchenaid?

I have had a Magimix for years, but find that the bowl handle packs in regularly and needs to be replaced. I use it almost only for mixing and grating. I have an electric whisk that i use for whisking.

Is the Kitchenaid really worth the money? I have heard that they come with no accessories or very few, which seems very odd.

Which would you recommend and why? I don't bake a lot, but i may start to bake more often, and would like to make bread. Which model is best, and anyone found a good ideal for Cyber Monday?

Hi, which machine is it you have? I’ve had the Magimix 4200XL for years and haven’t had any problems with it. I like to cook from scratch for my 3 children, but don’t always have the time, so the machine is a huge help to me in the kitchen. I use it lots for pureeing, chopping and liquidising to make sauces and soups, and have used it a couple of times to make dough for cakes, which went really well.

I had the 3500 for years, but the spring in the handle kept going so I got the 4200. I was flummoxed by all the different bowls and attachments and only ever used it for mixing, grating etc, but didn't find it as good as the 3500. My MIL died and I inherited her 3500 and have been using that, but now the spring has gone in the handle again!! I am just seduced by the look of the KA to be honest. I know they are very heavy though.
