Hey guys I’m having a baby nearly and her name will be Amelia .. so I love the name Amara too.

My question is, sound it bad if the middle name will be Amara... so Amelia Amara ...?

Yes doesnt sound good

Sounds fine to me.

I think it needs another name as a filler between the two. Something one syllable.

One or the other. Together they sound like a nursery rhyme tongue-twister.

Amara is much nicer. Go for that as a first and forget Amelia, not only does it sound quite whiny, there's this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amelia_(birth_defect)

I have an amelia but together those two names are a bit of mouthful. Id go with a one syllable middle name like Grace,Rose, Faith, Kate

Literally no one thinks that of the name Amelia outside of Mumsnet. In fact, I’d always think of the verb ‘ameliorate’ ahead of anything else.

Personally I think Amelia Amara would need a name between the two as it’s a bit of a tongue twister, but it’s certainly not hideous and won’t matter if you’re not intending to use the middle name.

As a young girl reading an Enid blyton story I came across Amelia -Jayne and promised myself that's what I would call my daughter but I haven't had one yet but still I like that name a lot
Amelia is a nice name
The second not so much and together I think they sound silly
