Are these pyjamas?

Friend sent this 2 piece set for DS last year. They were too big so I put them away for future use.

DS is the right size now but not sure if they're pyjamas or for day time. Has anyone else had them? They're from M&S.

The bottoms look more like PJs, so I would assume they are nightwear :)

The design makes me think pyjamas but I'm afraid they're a bit on the thick side or maybe that's just me

If the child is under 5 then it doesn't matter! I find a light pair of trousers v useful.
