Don't bank pay weekly in arrears? They do here

Loobieloo27 · 25/11/2018 11:35

They've only just started rolling out weekly pay in my trust but i opted for monthly as its my sole job now

It’s usually earlier in December in our trust.

In the Trust i workrd for the bank paid monthly and usually early for Xmas but any emhancements were paid a month in arrears

Wages should br able tp tell you though .

You could give payroll a ring and ask although it took me 3 months, yes THREE months to get paid properly for my bank work shifts when I first started. For 2 months they did not pay me at all despite numerous phone calls and emails from manager, then they paid me the bottom of my grade.... despite numerous phone calls and emails from my manager and myself.
It’s an absolute joke.

Double check your Christmas pay date too - we had early payment on the 23rd for as long as I've been with the trust (since 2006) but this year have changed it to LWD in line with the rest of the year, so not all will be the same.

My work's pay is done by the NHS and the standard pay day is the 25th or the last working day before if 25th is at the weekend.

I don't know the Christmas payday this year, but based on previous years, it will probably be the Thursday 20th to give them time to correct any mistakes before everyone buggers off for Christmas.

The cut off for any overtime/shift allowances etc is quite early in the month, somewhere between the 1st and the 5th, so I'm not sure how it works with bank staff - presumably you work irregular shifts, and what you've worked has to be reported to payroll somehow and there will be a cut off date?

Given how many mistakes our payroll have made over the year if I was you I would keep a list or spreadsheet of the shifts you've worked, what you should be paid, as in any allowances/enhanced rates and then note when you get paid, so you know where you are with it all.

We get paid 27th in my trust, is the 21st in December this year.
