Dog sitting - i have a silly question!

Im currently looking after dps dog while hes at work. Should be home in a couple of hours, ive had her since 7.30am this morning. Never had or looked after a dog on my own before. Obviously been around while dp has the dog though.

She requires a lot of attention, wants to play constantly and barks if you stop. I have some sort of stomach bug and feeling sicky and just want to lie down.

Ive discovered that if i leave her downstairs (she has food, water, bed and toys) and come upstairs, she seems to settle herself. She barked a couple of times and not heard anything since.

Before i went upstairs, i took her out for a walk, shes done the toilet and had a good bit of excercice.

Is this ok?? I feel a bit guilty that im 'hiding' upstairs lying down while shes downstairs on her own, but she does seem settled?

Yes it’s absolutely fine, she will probably just sleep.
Hope you feel better Smile

Thank you for replying!

Didnt want to disturb dp at work, but didnt want to be neglecting the dog either!

I got an hour and a half of lying down, feel a bit better so went downstairs, dog was curled up sleeping on the sofa ☺ so sat with her, she climbed onto my knee and gone back to sleep!
