Brexit, what’s it’s all about?

Yes I know there is a brexit thread but if your didn’t want to read about brexit you shouldn’t have clicked and it looked quite scary over there.

But I wanted to say/ask I just don’t get it!! The whole thing. In priniciple I get the concept of leaving the eu.
But have no understanding of what a soft or hard brexit means and what effect this will have on a daily basis. Both sides seems very opposing, and all I can every read in the papers about brexit equates to a personal attack On Theresa May when really no other person wants or wanted the job.
I can’t find any detail.
What has Theresa May negotiated? And what effects will this have on a daily basis or are we all pissing on the dark and there is no answer of what life will look like.

Can anyone explain it to me?
