Do you lock your door when you are at home ?

Never thought about this but we never lock the door other than when we go to bed.
Talking to friends it seems that this is quite unusual , is it ?

FIL opens the front door when it’s hot. We flew back when we moved back from overseas and went straight to the ILs. I had my passport, credit cards and all my jewellery in my hand bag. Sometime during lunch he decided to open the door. Never tells anyone he’s done that. Since then I keep my bag with me when we visit, or leave everything at home.

They live on a busy road that they think is still as quiet as it was 50 years ago.
