Coca Cola christmas ad

Okay, I might just be feeling a bit cranky, but every year I get really annoyed by the coke christmas ad with the refrain 'holidays are coming'. Christmas is not referred to in this way in the UK. 'Happy holidays' is an Americanism too far. As far as I am concerned, a 'holiday' is something you take, generally in the summer (but not necessarily), christmas is just that; christmas!
Is it just me?

I’m guessing it’s because as pp said it’s an American product. But I hate the Coca Cola ad anyway, that drink has nothing to do with Christmas as far as I’m concerned.

Every single school child and teacher is counting down to the Christmas holiday.

As said, it's an American company so yes, they use the 'holiday' phrase. Its been used in their advertisements for years, everyone still knows what it means!

What's wrong with a glimpse of a Christmas tradition from a different country? It's not going to dilute your beautiful British Christmas.

It's what we always left for Santa when I was a child, but I am from Georgia, the home of Coca Cola. It is associated with Christmas in the Southern US.

And is never a holiday for me as work through Christmas and this year working Christmas Day

Well, wouldn't you think that Coca Cola would have checked your rota before committing to this advertising slogan more than 20 years ago?
