To all 30 year old women, what are you asking for Xmas?

So I keep getting asked what I want for Xmas and I just have no clue! What are you ladies looking forward to getting? I'm already getting pjs, slippers, candles, DVDs and books what's left?! Smile

I'm getting a fancy pillow from mil and my mum got us a family ticket to disney on ice but we had it early as show was in October. Don't know what dh will get me yet.

YahBasic · 25/11/2018 20:15

29 and I’ve asked for or ordered the below from my parents & DH.

Ancestry DNA kit
Computer monitor for when I wfh
Jeans
Calvin Klein leggings
PJs
Nice underwear
Socks
Molton Brown shower gel
Molton Brown bath oil
L’Occitane almond oil
Benefit & Bobbi Brown make up
Cheeseboard

And hopefully a surprise or two from DH.

It sounds like a lot, but I’ve managed to get everything with at least 15-35% off, so have saved a small fortune.

30 here and in the same predicament. So far I'm going with the traditional pyjamas, slippers, bath stuff. I may get Harry Potter and Disney stuff randomly.

DH and I aren't doing presents but we are going to buy a Nintendo Switch.

First Christmas with a baby so apparently it's all about them now, so I keep getting toldEnvyGrin

  1. I want a new phone and a camera lens. Too expensive for me to ask from anyone though. I'd appreciate vouchers, money, books, pyjamas. In that order. DH and I decide to go halves on a second hand instrument 'for each other' (for the family). Wether or not we'll get round to even doing that before Christmas I don't know.
HildaZelda · 25/11/2018 20:57

I'm closer to 40 than 30 but after letting my hair grow for the past year I'd like some decent straighteners. I've been using ones that I bought from Primark, but they don't really cut the mustard.

A new dryer wouldn't go amiss either.

andpeggy1 · 25/11/2018 22:18

A non stick sauté pan with lid n house vouchers!

MysweetAudrina · 26/11/2018 16:56

Yoga Retreat gift voucher
Essential Oil diffuser and oils
lush stuff
perfume
l'occitane immortelle reset serum
book

Juanbablo · 26/11/2018 17:07

I'm asking for a curling iron, a watch and a keyring.

bellalou1234 · 26/11/2018 17:18

@fivenightsatmummys what straighters are they? I'm after some new ones

YahBasic · 26/11/2018 18:15

For those looking for straighteners, ghd have got 30% off their classic straighteners, and another 10% on top if you can find a student discount code. 20% off curling tongs.

Cerseilannisterinthesnow · 26/11/2018 19:52

Believe it or not.... hair extensions! Not for length but for thickness, I’ve got shoulder length hair which my hair dresser always says is fine but lots of it but I just feel I want my hair to be a bit more pouffy

BippityBoppity87 · 26/11/2018 20:34

31 here. Slippers, lounge wear, perfume, nice body wash. Maybe a voucher for a retail store. Any of those I'd be happy with. I really want an Alexa, but to be honest I think I would just buy that myself, as it would be more of a 'house hold' thing.

Ooh and wireless headphones. I already have some, but the sound leaks out quite a bit.

at 31 the choice is clearly sheepskin bootees and an electric blanket

Haha! I'd be over the moon with that too Grin

BippityBoppity87 · 26/11/2018 20:38

And those nice candles from White Company.

Frances003 · 26/11/2018 20:38

I’m 30 and literally can’t think of anything to ask from people ! I can think of loads of stuff I’d like for my home - but then I think my husband gets all fun stuff while I’m asking for new towels for us all 😂Grin. What’s happened I used to be so fun ?!?!

LRL2017 · 26/11/2018 20:39

Harry Potter lego!

BippityBoppity87 · 26/11/2018 20:39

Can you tell I don't leave my house much haha Grin

BippityBoppity87 · 26/11/2018 20:42

@LRL2017 I've always wanted a doll house or sylvanian families, but there isn't enough space in my flat Sad

ThomasRichard · 26/11/2018 20:45

I’d really like:

  • an Elemis gift set with marine cream and the little capsules;
  • a grown-up scooter;
  • a box of Lindor;
  • an Amazon gift card to indulge my kindle habit guilt-free;
  • a proposal from DP

No one ever buys me expensive gifts (nor would I expect them to) so I’ve bought the Elemis and the scooter myself. Happy Christmas to me!

DesertSky · 26/11/2018 20:54

This is so bizarre - I’d been wondering the same thing. I’m almost 34 and have no clue what I want anymore. I even thought to myself earlier I wonder if there’s a thread on MN asking what fellow 30 + year olds wish lists are....

lovetherisingsun · 26/11/2018 20:56

New pyjama bottoms. Mine have holes in, they're 7 years old now so about time I got new ones.

MrsMoggy · 26/11/2018 21:01

29 and on my list is:

Pyjamas (Disney)
A Disney hand luggage case
Rituals handwash, shampoo, conditioner etc
Benefit mascara
Hello fresh cookbook

EnglishRose1320 · 26/11/2018 21:18

I don't really feel I need or want much this Christmas, trying to declutter and consume less. However oh loves buying gifts and desperately wants to get me lots so have been trying to suggest things I actually need so;

A new coat (currently wear an old one of his)
A backpack (comfier and more practical than my handbag when out with the kids)
A pretty gravy boat (we don't have one at all but if it's a present I want it to be pretty)

My parents will give me a gift card
His father will give me something either wonderful or bizarre, it's always fun seeing which way it's gone each year.
