So I keep getting asked what I want for Xmas and I just have no clue! What are you ladies looking forward to getting? I'm already getting pjs, slippers, candles, DVDs and books what's left?! Smile

@Mondaytired

There Alfa Italia wide plate ones. They straighten my hair to the flattest it's ever been in seconds (I've had every pair of straighteners going inc ghd) I've just googled and there called "alfa Italia sessione Lostro Gande Styler" on the website.

Valasca · 24/11/2018 20:40

Well it depends. Some are 30 raising small kids and some are single and workaholics who are short on personal time. What’s your particular lifestyle?

trilbydoll · 24/11/2018 20:43

I just told DD (5yo) I want roller blades, no idea if that message will make it back to dh. I would also like to go to the Russian exhibition at Buckingham Palace. Judging by the noise when you shake the box my aunt has sent, I think that's a wasgij.

I'm 29.
I've asked for a new travel mug, a new Kindle( the waterproof paperwhite)as my very old one took a dip in the bath, and a band hoody.

I've also asked DH for a surprise personalised something from notonthehighstreet or similar from the DCs.

AmIAWeed · 24/11/2018 20:47

33 and having Botox, fillers and pucked out multiple trees today - I probably should have asked for extra hours with the gardener to plant them!!!!!

Birrdy · 24/11/2018 20:48

I'm hoping for a white company dressing gown, no malone candle, molton brown bath and shower gel. Basically luxury items I like which I would feel are too expensive to buy for myself!

Bouchie · 24/11/2018 20:51

We are booking a holiday we have asked parents to contribute instead of the gift they would get. Definitely don't want more stuff and love going away.

28, so close enough. Dh and I are not doing Christmas presents this year. We are putting money saved towards a holiday next year. I will just enjoy spending quality time with him and watching Christmas movies tbh Smile. Kind of relieved that I don't have to think of things to buy him now. I am so bad at Christmas shopping.

meow1989 · 24/11/2018 21:09

I'm 29, I've asked for a nice hair cut and dye and a coat Smile

KindergartenKop · 24/11/2018 21:10

I'm 33 but I'm asking my husband to take the kids to get me a big snow globe. They're so shiny and kitsch.

Strawberrylaceaddict · 24/11/2018 21:18

I turn 30 ten days before Christmas, but I’ve asked for some face stuff (cleanser toner, night cream etc) I ask for this every year as it lasts me ages, some really nice pyjamas, perfume and a new pandora charm :).

ifoundthebread · 24/11/2018 21:21

A running buggy 😬

EyUpOurKid · 24/11/2018 21:43

I'm 32. I want a lovely fluffy dressing gown and to get my nails done. And a couple of lush bath bombs.

SweetheartNeckline · 24/11/2018 21:54

I've asked for a fancy reusable mug, a set of Harry Potter audiobooks and a wooden celebration ring (like an ornament version of a charm bracelet). I'm also hoping for at least 60 Ferrero Rocher Grin . I usually ask for a print by a specific artist who paints the area we holiday in, but I commissioned a painting of our family for my birthday this year instead. I'll be heavily pregnant so clothes and alcohol are out, I dont wear jewellery or perfume or make up.

CaptainCarp · 24/11/2018 22:01

I'm hoping for a running watch
A phone case
Some socks
Maybe some money to go towards a piece of jewellery I'm looking at..
I wouldn't mind some nice body wash/soap as I wouldn't buy it myself.
I struggled to think of things this year.

Julianaa · 24/11/2018 22:06

I've asked for face cream from my mum and then candles, novels, or body scrub from siblings. Don't exchange gifts with friends or with DH as both of our birthdays are before Christmas and we go quite big for birthdays. I don't know what DH is getting me this year; last year it was a lovely watch and the one before it was a phone.

If I were choosing, I'd have spa/massage vouchers, new Uggs, and maybe perfume too. Or a night away somewhere very relaxing.

Maelstrop · 24/11/2018 22:29

I've just sent my dh the link to a Harry Potter book in French. A colleague gave me one and it's got me back into reading after a long break. Also asked him for some Bomb cosmetic bath fizzers. bombcosmetics.co.uk/bath-melts

Grobagsforever · 24/11/2018 22:59

Nothing. Donating to crisis. Christmas gifts for adults are really weird. Why do we need more clutter/stuff?

If you can't think of something you NEED ask for charity donations.

SweetheartNeckline · 24/11/2018 23:14

Grobags I think it's nice to receive a thoughtful or much wanted gift, something extra that isn't a "need" (although realistically my gifts are often a posher version of sonething I need / will use anyway). I give hours of my time and hundreds of pounds every year to charity. I don't expect huge piles of presents but I think adults are important and deserve nice things too. Obviously pointless tat is just, well, pointless, for adult or child, but £15 on something that might make me smile or know I've been thought of? I won't begrudge myself that!

EyUpOurKid · 24/11/2018 23:37

Christmas gifts for adults are really weird

No they're not, they're just presents. Presents for people who you love and want to make smile aren't weird.

stinkypoo · 25/11/2018 00:06

I've just ordered myself an AppleWatch in Black Friday sale (am single), but have asked for very snuggly socks/slippers, pjs, candles & a globe.

SapphireSeptember · 25/11/2018 00:58

My mum got me a Harry Potter merch haul from Asda, my friend will get me something Pusheen related (as I'm banned from buying any Pusheen stuff) and I'm buying myself make up, the screen play for Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald, and if I can I'm going to the cinema to watch it! (Otherwise I'll wait for the DVD.) On the off chance Evanescence or Lacuna Coil announce any UK tour dates for next year that'll be on my wish list too. (Very unlikely, but I live in hope!)

SapphireSeptember · 25/11/2018 01:05

Oh yeah, last year my Christmas/birthday present from my mum was a ticket to see Evanescence, and I bought myself Severus Snape's wand. I have interesting tastes. Grin
