If a sign on a road says that it'll be undergoing repairs for three days commencing from 5am on the 26th of November when will the work end? On the 28th or 29th?

At the end of the 28th.

user1493413286 · 24/11/2018 15:32

At end of 28th as that’s 3 days including 26th

INeedNewShoes · 24/11/2018 15:32

28th

sackrifice · 24/11/2018 15:33

The 28th.

Owletty · 24/11/2018 15:34

End of 28th.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 24/11/2018 15:34

Probably 30th knowing how crap the Highways/private contractors are.

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 24/11/2018 15:35

Sometime next month because they'll overrun Wink

ScabbyBabby · 24/11/2018 15:36

I would say 29th at 5am if we are being precise.

DeathyMcDeathStarFace · 24/11/2018 15:38

End of the 28th.

But around here it'll probably be the 27th or early on the 28th if recent works are anything to go by, I think they slightly overestimate timescales so they don't get a fine for going over how long they say it will take, then if there are problems they have a few hours to sort it out.

happypoobum · 24/11/2018 15:44

End of 28th.

Who dares to challenge this???!!!

mumsastudent · 24/11/2018 16:09

some time in January :) if they start that is!

Spieluhr · 24/11/2018 16:43

Thank you all. I'm relieved to see that the majority appear to confirm my view that work will end on the 28th(Assuming that they are a textbook team of contractors). My friend was arguing that the work cannot possibly be completed before 5am on the 29th.

Phone the council and ask?
But they do sometimes work throughout the night don't they?
