Just ordered one off amazon but controls on wrong side plus there is a plastic hard rectangle that you have to plug the controls into which will be really annoying to sleep on.

I want one like an old one I had, the controls on the left side (by the head not feet) and so that there is no control or panel or anything that you have to sleep on to control it? Oh and preferably not too expensive?? Can anyone recommend one like this please?

Can't you turn it over so that controls are on the right side?

No, then the controls are at the feet end which I don’t want as will have to use extension lead and have trailing leads

Dreamland dual control has them at both sides. DH doesn't connect his half.

I didn’t know you could buy dual ones! Does it have an annoying hard plastic bit on the actual sheet does it?

There is a hard bit that the control thing attaches to but I don't find I lie on it as it's right at the edge of the bed. I love it - there is a really quick heat up function or you put it on a lower number if you are actually in the bed.

See I sleep right on the edge of the bed.....

I have a Lakeland one with controls on each side so the hard bit right where my shoulder is. I swapped the ends (leads are long) the only thing is the feet bit should have been under the pillows so doesn’t heat up. But I sleep curled up so it doesn’t bother me

Thanks lt Are there not any ones like my old one that there isn’t the hard plastic bit on the actual blanket bit you sleep on??

My OH (who has PD and is in bed a lot and feels the cold) has an electric duvet. The lead fixes to the centre bottom of the duvet and the fitting is small and unobtrusive. The lead then passes under the bed and you can bring it out on either side - whichever suits you. It has a 5 minute preheat and then you can set temp from 1 -5, and duration from 1 - 9 hours. We have been very happy with it.

Just bumping this to see if anyone was able to recommend one that you’re not lying on the flat plastic bit? I can’t get to shops for a while to look at them so I’m mainly looking on Amazon or if anyone has a specific one from somewhere else that definitely you don’t have the plastic plate on the mattress I’ll order one/

Thanks mis I’m just after an electric sheet:blanket at the moment.

Don't know if this helps? As you may be able to tell, the plastic bit is underneath the blanket close to the edge so personally I don't lie on it. Also it's only about 10 cm at longest point?
