I woke up with a big red bit/welt under my eye this morning

Got out of bed and I was lying on this

Did that fucker bite me?! Or coincidence?!

Ooh bloody hell. It looks and I stress the word looks like a bite to me.
Although I don't know why a random house Spider would just bite someone. They're very very rarely aggressive unless they feel threatened.

Otherwise, it seems it could be a coincidence but bloody hell........I really don't know. Can you tell what's sort of spider it is? There were some false widows around again recently. They bite but they're fairly small I think. That's a big unit. Urgh.

false widows are more shiny and have a red dot on their back, don't they.
