Rash guidance

DS came home from school with a bright red rash over a lot of his body. It looked a bit like hives so I gave him some piriton, phoned the gp for advice. GP said it was a good idea to check him over so I took him in and they diagnosed virus induced hives and suggested portion. Obviously gave the usual caveat of if I was further concerned to phone back.

Since then he's had a second dose of piriton and the rash is still spreading and looks worse. He got a bit upset about it at bedtime and is quite tired but generally he's ok. At what point or what change would make you phone 111? I can't decide if I'm worrying over nothing or if it should be looking a bit better by now?! Never seen anything like it if I'm honest!

What's his temperature? Does he have a sore throat or any other symptoms? Has he had his childhood vaccinations?

Maybe phone for an opinion.
