Anyone know anything about rashes?

I will ring 111, they just don't actually know anything and always send you to A&E so I'd prefer to avoid unless I need to get someone to give me an appt at a walk in.

Ds has these two weird rash things on his legs almost opposite each other. Between a 5p and a 10p in size. My kids are all prone to eczema so I'm used to skin weirdness, but I don't think I've ever seen the purple outline before? It's very strange looking, It actually looks like he's drawn around it (he hasn't it). Poor lighting but hopefully you can see it.

Looks very like shingles to me- has he had chicken pox in the past?

OkPedro · 24/11/2018 00:31

With meningitis sometimes there is no rash that's what makes it hard to spot and so dangerous. On the other hand a person will be very unwell before septcemia. The rash isn't the first symptom.
I've had awful contact dermatitis in the past myrashykid it looked a lot like what your son has

Didn't want to read and run, even though I have no advice . Hope it's nothing too serious, OP, and that you're boy will get better soon Thanks

Actually it does look like shingles. I hadn't thought of that.

Just came on to check how he was. Hope all is good ❤️

Shingles doesn't present this way. Neither does chicken pox.
What's the location ...is I inner thigh, sites opposite either other

ChristmasSprite · 24/11/2018 13:24

Because of all the raised bumps around it all over the surrounding area, unless that's part of his usual skin look, I'm going with the eczema from contact. Did you find out what activities?

ChristmasSprite · 26/11/2018 00:00

@ThatOneHurt what's the news? Is he fine? Do you have a verdict,is it getting worse or better?
