What age did your kids first have sleepovers?

Not with cousins I mean, with school friends?

At about 8 with friends whose parents I knew well. By about 11, it felt like they were having or hosting sleepovers every other week.

Four (DS with his sister too at our close friend’s house) and DD was five or six when she had her first solo sleepover. Think the other DSs were about the same too. We know all the parents well.

Dd first sleepover she went on was year 4.

More generally sleepovers seemed to get popular age 6 for girls and aged 7 for boys.

6, it was a disaster. 4 crying girls and me making the call of shame at 11.40pm asking parents to come and collect their kids. Never again.

My 5 year old has had a couple. Only with the children of my friends though so I’m ok leaving her with them.

Dd was 3 when she slept at my best friend's house, also her best friend's mum.

Ds1 was about 7.

Ds2 is 4 and there's no one I would feel comfortable about letting him go to yet or having here.

DS would never do sleepovers. He used to go to friends sleepover parties and I'd collect him at about 10.30 and bring him home - that was up to about age 10
My DDs on the other hand were happy to stay anywhere from about age 7 - I think it depends on the child.

Mine both went on their first sleepovers with rainbows at 5.

Ds13 and dd11 have never been to one. Ds6 has just been invited to his first.
