What is this 80s(?) TV theme tune?

It goes like this:

Duur du du du duuur
Duur du du du duur
#key change Duur du du du duuur
Durdududur Durdududur

It sounds a bit scifi/synthesizer and just carries on like that. I thought it was Tomorrow's World but it's not. It could be something similar though. I've tried singing it to DH but he's just Confused. It's literally (actual literally) keeping me awake at night.

WhatchaMaCalllit · 23/11/2018 15:21

Is it this?

WhatchaMaCalllit · 23/11/2018 15:24

Probably more likely to be this rather than my first suggestion Grin

I have it!! It’s Oxygene part 4 by Jean Michel Jarre m.youtube.com/watch?v=5DDEl7JnWvo

It wasn’t a very famous show but was apparently on ‘Where There’s Life’ on YTV in the 80s which is why I’m linking it with a factual programme.

It must have been on loads of things over the last 40 (!!) years but IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOMORROW’S WORLD

I was going to say Oxygene.

It was the theme to a programme called ‘Where There’s Life’. Which was nature type stuff I think.

hmmwhatatodo · 24/11/2018 00:49

Isn’t it from Star Wars?

Pimpernell · 24/11/2018 01:13

It's got to be MacGyver!

Pimpernell · 24/11/2018 01:20

Okay ignore, that! I was nowhere close Grin

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 24/11/2018 01:24

Where There’s Life with Miriam Stoppard was famous! Excellent music too

magpieC · 24/11/2018 01:34

Surely it's Dr Who:

WhatchaMaCalllit · 26/11/2018 08:24

I would never have gotten that! Fair dues OP - you kept going when all around you were suggesting wrong theme tunes! Grin

ToastedSandwichObsession · 26/11/2018 08:50

Damn it, I was coming to tell you what it was. I played Oxygene on a loop much to my parents annoyance Grin

diddl · 26/11/2018 09:41

Sorry Op, but your "Duur du du duuuring" was rubbish!Grin

Childrenofthesun · 26/11/2018 09:45

I love that OP's "duur"s could have fitted just about any TV theme tune from the 1980s. Grin

Glad you worked it out. Jean-Michel Jarre is classic 80s.

captainpantbeard · 26/11/2018 21:27

Thanks Toasted - glad to know my duurs worked for someone Grin
