I could cry

Had a job interview this morning for a job I really wanted. Have been waiting for a job to come up in this department for over a year. Dropped the kids off at school had an hour and a half to get there and the journey normally takes half an hour. Not today it doesn't, today it took 2 flipping hours due to stupid main road closures. So I was half an hour late for the interview.
They were very kind and lovely and interviewed me later, but it looks really bad doesn't it? And then because I was so stressed my answers weren't as good as they should have been. I really wanted this job and I'd have been really good at it but I'm not going to get it. I just want to cry 😭
No real point to this post but sometimes things suck!

I was an hour late for an interview with a government organisation once. The interview was near an airport and I got completely lost going on the motorway and coming off at junctions and rang them to say I wouldn't be able to come as I couldn't find them so they gave me directions on the phone in the end. I was so stressed and late by the time I arrived. They offered me the job! So don't give up hope op you really never know.

I have no advice for you but didn't want to read and run. You never know, others may also have been late because of the road closures. Try and stay positive, fingers crossed for you. Thanks

you could follow up with an email and say you feel like you didn't come across as best as you'd hoped and maybe elaborate on your answers. Thank them for still seeing you even though you were late.

Did you hear back about the job @SaveFerris1?
