Has anyone seen the madness of king George on stage?

I am supposed to be going this evening with DH but am having coughing fits every few minutes and so clearly wouldn't be fair for me to go.

Wondering whether it would be appropriate for DS1 who is almost 14 and a theatre fan. Can't find anything online which indicates its suitable for adults only. Does anyone know?

I saw it - he will be fine. There's nothing to make it 'adults only'. I'm sure there's something online about it containing scenes that some people may find 'upsetting' but I can't think what they could be.

It's a shame you're missing it - it's an amazing play

I know I'm really annoyed but I would spoil it for others.

The theatre said there's some very lewd language (but I suspect he's heard it all before at school!)

The lewd language is mostly about bodily functions so a 14 year old would love it. There are some scenes where he is being forced into horrendous treatments, strapped down etc and he screams a lot.

It’s sold out so you should be able to get your money back if you decide not to go.

IT is a brilliant show though and I’m so proud of Nottingham. A great week - tonight the Royal Wedding cellist, whose name I can never remember, is playing the Elgar cello concerto at the concert hall

I can't remember any bad language at all but maybe it passed me by!
