Ideas for Anniversary break England

Hi I am looking for ideas for a hotel for an anniversary break in England for elderly relatives - mobile, so stairs not an issue. Preferably central England, in January, pretty comfortable, good breakfast, and no more than £160 per night bed and breakfast.
I have spent HOURS looking online and just can't decide. I know they would like a country house type set up, but not sure I can afford that at anywhere with good reviews.
If anyone has any suggestions it would be very gratefully received.

Okay no one. I guess I just need to keep trawling the sites.

Have you had a look at Stratford Upon Avon?

You may get a bargain on booking dot com for January.

We go quite regularly. The river, theatre, Shakespeare experience, lovely little tea rooms and award winning restaurants all along Sheep Street.

I would definitely recommend.

Have you tried Ellenborough Park in the Cotswolds - it’s lovely, we’ve stayed twice, and has a good Black Friday deal on at the minute.

DW and SIL bought their DP a mini-break thing - all paid for, but they get a brochure of venues to select from. Might solve the choice dilema as it puts the recipients in control of that
