Alexa speaker question.

Probably should be in the techy forum but posting for more traffic in here. I've just bought an Echo Dot, it's OK but I didn't realise that the sound quality would be so poor (I'm not very techy). Don't want to pair it to my telly soundbar as my OH watches a lot of telly.
Can anyone advise me re. a reasonably priced bluetooth/wireless speaker which doesn't run on batteries and has a decent quality, loud volume for music etc on the Alexa please. I would like to keep the speaker plugged into the mains, standing on the sideboard, a few feet from the Alexa. I'm going to work tonight so won't be able to reply on this thread till morning. Thanks.

Return the Dot and buy an Echo.

Echos are only £50 from Amazon at the minute

Can you use Bluetooth headphones with a dot?

You can plug a speaker into a dot, as well.

Another saying a proper Echo. We have the first generation big one and the sound quality is pretty okay, 2nd gen ones are better.
For the price of a decent quality speaker that will link with your dot and not run on batteries you might as well sent the dot back and get a £50 2nd gen Echo.
