Copper coil pain

Hello,

I had a copper coil put in on Tuesday evening and I'm just wondering when/if I can expect the periody type pains to settle down. They haven't been too bad today but seem worse suddenly, is it normally a few days or is this how I'm going to feel a lot of the time? I'm doing ibuprofen and heat patches atm.

I was in pain until my next period really.

Did it settle down after that at all? I'm feeling really odd about having it inside me, don't think I'll cope with it if I'm constantly feeling like this. I've got an upset stomach too, could that be caused by the coil as well do you think?

I felt it for a few days. It’s been in there 8 years now and I don’t even think about it.

Not too much pain now but it definitely seems to have triggered my IBS quite badly, in and out of the toilet all day today
