Can’t get this song out of my head but can’t remember what it’s called.
I can hear some harmonious female voices singing “Christmas!” and tune wise it’s like an upbeat version of “If you don’t know me by now” by Harold Melvin and the Blie Notes. Helpfully, I can’t remember any more of the lyrics, beyond the word Christmas.
It’s very much got a Motown/Wall of Sound type feel to it, so I’m guessing it’s a girl group from that era (late fifties til early seventies).
Is this actually a song? Or is my mind just doing a mash-up? If it’s a thing, what’s it called and who’s it by?
I don’t think it’s the Ronettes, but it might be. I’ve had a bit of a trawl on YouTube through their stuff but could be missing something.
