Me, dp and 2 DC have been given some money from different family members to help us out with moving house, ect. But they've all said they don't want it back, which is a nice gesture because tbh it would take us a long time to pay it all back.
Back story -
Dad given us £1500
Mil given us £2000
Grandmother given us £1250
This money was to help us move, buy furniture, ect.
I feel bad taking it but we do need it. Some of it been spent already.
I was thinking of getting some nice Xmas presents for them, but what? We would prob only be able to afford £50 each or so ...
Help!

I think something really personal/well thought out is in order. It’s definitely a case of showing you care and not the value.

If I had given you money to help you out (and made it clear that I didn't want it back) then I would be a bit miffed if you spent it on an extravagant present for me.

If you don't need it put it in savings for a rainy day. I get not asking for it back, you get some terrible fall outs over owing money, it's a sensible approach.

When i have given money to family members I would not expect it back. It was given, not loaned. Just appreciate the help and stop fussing.
