Cruise from Newcastle... parking?

Any advice very welcomed

We are going on a mini cruise to Amsterdam for NYE (woooo!). Leave from Newcastle and will drive down... question is, where do we park? I've rest that parking at the port is £25 a night and am I buggery paying £75 for parking. Anybody got any advice/experience?

We’ve always just parked at the port.
