I have done a massive clearout today of kids clothes ect. I was going to buy both DC some new PJs this week but now ive got to the bottom of the wash basket all dried and put away Blush

They have
DC3 8 pairs
DD18months 6 pairs
Now surely this is enough! Why does it always feel like they have none?

Had me wondering how many PJs have your DC got?

3-4 pairs, a couple of which are in regular rotation. The school are forever having flipping pyjamas to school days where you really don't want to send them in in the slightly too short in the leg, very washed out but nice and soft and comfy ones they actually wear to school so I tend to keep one pair back that look decently presentable for that sort of thing!

DD1 maybe 3 pairs plus 2 pairs short ones for summer, plus another 6-8 pairs which are a size too small but still get used!
DD2 is a baby so prob 10ish footie sleepsuits?

Wow, where does everybody store everything? I don't think my sister and I ever had more than 3 or 4 pairs of PJs/nighties as children, and if we had ever had ten or a dozen pairs, there wouldn't have been room in our bedroom for any other clothes. And with Mum working part-time and no washing machine in the house, fresh nightwear every evening was most definitely not an option.

Well, I at a guess id say the people with lots of pyjamas have bigger houses/more storage/different lifestyles to what you had as a child?
We have 4 bedrooms but my 2 DD’s share a (large double) by choice. That means they have drawers and a wardrobe in their room but we also have storage in the spare bedrooms.
We aim to change every other night (they’re young so often still get breakfast down them or don’t wipe properly after a wee in the night) but we have a washing machine so I’m not doing it with a mangle or taking it to a laundrette.

My DD has 4 pairs which is normally plenty but occasionally they all end up in the wash and so she will wear leggings and a t-shirt.
