How easy is it to use Amazon vouchers for Kindle?

MIL has a kindle and I'm thinking of giving her a voucher for Amazon so she can treat herself to some books. She's a bit of a technophobe and the kindle has been setup with her payment details so she just clicks to buy whatever book she wants. Is it easy to redeem the voucher from the kindle? I don't want to spend the money if she can't use it.

You can add them to her Amazon account when you are with her, and then it will just use the gift balance till it runs out when she buys something

Yes it's easy enough. You apply the voucher to the account and then it uses that balance to pay for the books

Thanks so much, sounds simple enough and I'll be with her over Christmas so I could offer to do it for her if she's stuck.

Yes, it's super-easy, and when the voucher is spent the original payment source just kicks in again. You don't have to re-enter any details or tick any boxes.

My father used to give me an Amazon voucher every Christmas and it was a lovely gift, particularly now that they last longer than a year, just in case you decide to actually read all the stuff you already have instead of immediately buying more Grin.
