Gift for someone after mastectomy?

Hey,

A friend of mine is having a mastectomy and reconstruction later this week. Me and another friend are going to get her a present, and I wondered if any of you had any ideas of something we can get her. We'll spend about £20-30 and I wondered if there was a present that was more thoughtful/useful then flowers?

I aren't sure if she's a real book or kindle reader, so a book voucher is out.

She's not in to pampering so wouldn't want a spa voucher (not sure she'll be feeling up to a massage for a while anyway).

I just can't think of anything other than flowers and chocolate!

Thank you

Maybe a nice hamper? Or a box of stuff she likes? You could put chocolates, magazines, a book (feel like the kindle thing is a non issue if it's amongst other things!), candle, nail varnish, little house plant, biscuits, fancy tea bags, fancy jams... I'm trying to think of more things! I know it's not the same thing but my friend gave me a hamper after a miscarriage and I loved it.

Completely second loves idea! Maybe add some nice bath things, bath salts, relaxant bubble bath that kinda thing.
Perfume, maybe a new mascara or something, a nice shampoo set.
What thoughtful friends you are x

My mum had a mastectomy a few weeks ago and the most useful/thoughtful were shower/bath products that are ok to use post op. Aqueous cream, paraben free stuff, and deodorant without aluminium in.
