Hi there mummy's. My 11month old son has been poorly quite a bit lately. Started off with bronchitis and chest infection what lead to been in hospital. Followed by another trip to hospital due to having a high temp and went floppy. Then another trip to hospital because some blood test came back abnormal. He's had 2 cases of bronchitis two chest infections. 4 days worth of diarrhoea. He's now started with yet another cough started yesterday and not being himself and his think he has started with bronchitis again? 🤔 I'm just at a loss at what to do.

I'd ask for a referral to a pediatrician although they can be poorly from one thing and not quite recover before bouncing on to new things giving them a really rough run of illness.

Did you resolve the abnormal blood tests?

Does he go to any childcare? If he does, no I wouldn’t because in my experience they pick up every single thing going in the first year or so of going.

If not then it might be worth a chat with your GP. I did similar with my then three year old as he kept getting virally illnesses - he had two blood tests, nothing came up other than ‘it’s viral’.

The blood test showed his infection marker was high but after a night in hospital another blood test it came down. He doesn't go to nursery he just started out of the blue 4 weeks ago he gets a few good days then he gets another illness 🤔
