Missing Boy - Aberdeenshire

Sharing this here as hoping to get Liam’s pic out as much as possible.
Liam is 16 years old.
He was last seen at around 12pm on Saturday 17 November 2018 in the Queens Road area of Aberdeen.
Liam is described as white, 6'4" and has short brown hair, slim build, wearing dark top, blue jeans and Nike Air Max trainers and carrying a North Face backpack.

Police are now focusing their search on Banchory.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1302 of 18 November.

It's fairly obvious that it's him surely? Not sure I fully understand all the posts saying ' whoever he is'

Anyway - regardless of that, I've followed this sad case from the beginning and my heart goes out to his mum and family

Because it wouldn’t be appropriate to assume it’s him until the police confirm identification. I think that’s respectful to whoever it is.

@BatFace1 "fairly obvious" isn't the same as "confirmed" though. The police weren't going to sit with a blank piece of paper and start from scratch wondering whose remains had been found. But neither are they going to make any 100% confirmed announcements until certain checks & balances were carried out.

But I'd say the same - heartbreaking news for any family to receive.

It is heartbreaking. I run past the woodland area he was found in quite often. My heart goes out to the family of whoever this is, I can't imagine how they must feel.

Considering Liams height and build, it's unlikely to be someone else. Rip Liam.

It is now officially confirmed that it is Liam. OP, so sorry this is the outcome, please pass on our condolences to his family. My family & I are thinking of them, can't imagine how they must be feeling.
