Liam is described as white, 6'4" and has short brown hair, slim build, wearing dark top, blue jeans and Nike Air Max trainers and carrying a North Face backpack.

Still nothing down south have been looking out for news about him, why can't the news people share it nationwide?

I've seen a few posts on Facebook asking why it's not being televised. His mum still goes out daily looking for him.

Nicknacky · 21/03/2019 21:09

Well, because there isn’t really anything to televise, hard as that may be to hear. There is no update. Even Libby Squires story fell from the news until her body was found.

Media moves on to the next story. And there are missing people up and down the country and very few of them get the coverage that he has.

RoseDog · 22/03/2019 20:40

Apparently a body has been found at Banchory, his family has been informed Sad

Thoughts are with his family at this time.

Aurea · 22/03/2019 20:41

Heartbreaking..........

Police Scotland can confirm that a body of a male has been found in a remote wooded area, south of Banchory, Aberdeenshire.

A report was received by a member of the public at around 3pm this afternoon (Friday 22 March, 2019) in the area of Craig of Affrusk.

Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of 16-year-old Liam Smith has been notified.

Enquiries are ongoing and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

No further information will be released until formal identification has taken place

Nicknacky · 22/03/2019 20:44

If it is Liam then hopefully it’s the start of getting answers.

RIP to whoever the soul is.

BringMeTea · 22/03/2019 21:01

Ah that is so sad. Please God it gives his family some closure. RIP Liam.

TragicRabbit · 22/03/2019 21:07

Flowers for whose ever son it is

DiaryofWimpyMumm · 22/03/2019 21:07

I hope it isn't him. Sad

dancerdog · 22/03/2019 21:12

Just saw this on BBC site. My heart plummeted. A family is wrecked, no matter whose son he is, poor child.

spaghettipeppers · 22/03/2019 21:14

I was so hoping for a different ending. Whoever this man was, I am sure he was loved and has loved ones missing him.

Comefromaway · 22/03/2019 21:17

Whether or not it is Liam my heart goes out to the family.

PerkingFaintly · 22/03/2019 21:20

Sad As you say, someone's son, brother, husband, father, whoever this is.
