Kitchen refurb questions

I know it’s a “how long is a piece of string question” but if you’ve had a new kitchen done recently how much did it cost? Average sized kitchen. Not big at all and including knocking a wall down to the room next door to make a kitchen diner? Thanks.

We paid about 8k for our fitted kitchen.

As for the wall -Is it a supporting wall? If so it will need a beam. Do electrics need moving?

Thanks Brick maybe I should have just started one thread for you! Not too sure about the wall, it’s a house we’re looking at buying so will have a better look when we view again.

We had a knock through and that, including the fitting and all the plumbing, flooring fitting, plastering costs were about £3k. The kitchen and worktop cost could probably be anything from £1k to £50k. The electricity was a couple of thousand so that is a cost to look out for (this involved a new circuit for a range, fitting for hot water tap, new spotlights, pendant lights, under cabinet lights, replacing sockets with USB sockets, moving sockets around etc.)

Quotes we had suggested a load bearing wall would cost about £1k more.
