What does that mean? A chat that might lead to an interview? An interview? Should I dress like it's an interview?
Any help gratefully received.

I think it means being shown around and a chance to gather together any questions you may have.
I'd dress casual but not scruffy if you know what I mean
Best of luck ! Thanks

Treat it though as an interview - i.e. think about how you present yourself

Thank you. I've not worked for years since having kids and I feel so out of the loop Confused Grin

You only get one chance at a first impression so dress and act as though it were a formal interview. Good luck!

JudyDenchsBloomers · 20/11/2018 15:43

It's an interview! A chance to see how you both might fit. If it was me, I'd wear smart trousers and top or similar, but as it's not a formal interview, you won't be expected to be suited. Good luck! What is the role?

Rulerruler · 20/11/2018 16:48

I went to one - turned out it was an interview!

ScreamingValenta · 20/11/2018 16:50

Err on the side of it being an interview and dress smartly. Good luck!

BeFire · 20/11/2018 18:13

Thanks again everyone.
I will approach it like an interview and try to make the best 1st impression I can.

No such thing as an 'informal chat' if you haven't been offered the job yet... treat it as an interview.
