Is this normal re benefits?

My son has a disability and so for the first time we are claiming disability allowance for him. We are making sure it is spent on him and the extra costs associated with his condition. I've had a letter saying he gets a Christmas bonus? Is this normal? I've said he can have the amount to spend on whatever as that seems fair to me.

Yes that’s normal, if you claim carers you will get one with that too

Yes, you get a whole £10 on PIP and ESA each

It's a very random £10, nice to have it but random. Ds says he wants to save it, so I'll pop it in his money box

It's been £10 for ever (googles) since 1972! according to wikipedia:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_bonus_(United_Kingdom)

It must have felt like a fortune then, and hardly anything now.

Mine hasn't been paid for years. Yes I qualify but for some reason I've not had it. They've been trying to stop it for a few years for everyone, hence it not changing in 45 years.
