Questions which don't merit their own thread.

Is this acceptable party fare? 6-9 year olds, 2-430pm: crisps; pop corn; chocolate fondue with bananas, apples, clementines; jelly; chocolate cake.

Are postcards acceptable as Christmas cards (they're cheaper to get printed than foldy cards)?

Is cheesecake just as good if it's made with lactose free cheese?

MrsTerryPratcett · 19/11/2018 21:54

I'd have some veggies as well to pretend health.

Yes.

No to cheesecake. It's repulsive.

CoatedInSnow · 19/11/2018 21:55

As in cheesecake is repulsive or cheesecake with lactose free cheese is repulsive?

OP posts:
PoptartPoptart · 19/11/2018 21:58

No. You need to add something a bit more substantial like mini sandwiches or slices of pizza.
Yes.
No idea.

Why am I still here?

Does anyone else just eat the icing and marzipan on a christmas cake?

CoatedInSnow · 19/11/2018 22:08

Nope. I just eat the icing. Don't like Marzipan or the cake!

OP posts:
SmellyHead · 19/11/2018 22:19

No I eat the cake and leave the marzipan and icing.

CoatedInSnow · 19/11/2018 22:27

That looks ridiculous written down. Maybe this year we ditch the cake and make extra biscuits instead!

OP posts:
nowifi · 19/11/2018 22:28

What was the best thing before sliced bread?

nowifi · 19/11/2018 22:29

I love the marzipan and hate the cake!

MsNowtyBach · 19/11/2018 22:34

I think that maybe the wheel was the best thing before sliced bread?

Or maybe there's a chronological list, including pasteurised milk, electricity etc?

Is it time to update the saying?

Best thing since space travel?

Mamaogden · 19/11/2018 22:40

I make jam tarts 😋

Serfisafleur · 19/11/2018 22:44

I thought space travel was all a hoax

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 19/11/2018 22:45

Cheesecake: I made a vegan one (so without lactose!) for DD recently and it was blooming lovely.

Christmas cake: I eat the whole lot.

Where are my glasses?

Serfisafleur · 19/11/2018 22:46

Is it better for the environment to wrap Christmas presents in tin foil?

darkriver198868 · 19/11/2018 22:47

@thefreak have you checked on top of your head?

SausageSimon · 19/11/2018 22:47

Your glasses are on the side in your bathroom, you're welcome

JustLurkingAway · 19/11/2018 22:48

Pineapple on pizza?

TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth · 19/11/2018 22:53

Not on my head, no, but they were indeed in the bathroom! Thanks.
Wow, I should ask Mumnset to sort out all my trivial problems!

No, pineapple on pizza is an aberration.

suckmasterburstingfoam · 19/11/2018 22:54

My mum makes a cheesecake with tofu, I think, and it's great.

Is tofu lactose-free?

AhCheeses · 19/11/2018 23:03

Why do I never go to bed early enough for a decent sleep?

SausageSimon · 19/11/2018 23:03

@TheFreaksShallInheritTheEarth that's amazing!! Grin can't believe I guessed that. It was because I have a habit of losing my phone and it tends to be on the side in the bathroom or an odd shelf in the pantry!

MissConductUS · 19/11/2018 23:08

Can God make a weight so great that She Herself cannot lift it?

Pineapple and ham on pizza is a gourmet staple in Hawaii. No one is made to eat it.

Mamaogden · 19/11/2018 23:12

Sre you too busy to go to bed pr do you make excuses. Either can be overcome. Set yourself an alarm to go to bed

AhCheeses · 19/11/2018 23:28

If I'm honest, I'm just enjoying the peace and quiet whilst everyone else is asleep... My house is lovely when they're all quiet 😁
I think I need a reward chart. That might help me go to bed on time...? 😏

Maelstrop · 19/11/2018 23:32

Is the M&S Christmas pudding really that amazing? Wondering if it's worth a diversion en route home tomorrow.
