I had a really bad day today.

I can’t go into it too online but I just wanted to get it off my chest.

Feeling so down, helpless and like I’m not living the life I’m actually supposed to be.

There is no short term solution and I’m going to have to go through the full process to get to the end. It’s not viable to me and the thought of spending the next 4/5/6 months going through it is horrible

Can anyone give me a hand hold? Tea? Flowers? Make sympathetic noises?

Sorry to hear that. Is there someone is RL you can talk it through with?

Best wishes BrewFlowers

Kissel · 19/11/2018 21:13

Tea and flowers, OP, it’s cheesey but true that tough time don’t last but tough people do!

ChodeofChodeHall · 19/11/2018 21:16

You've got this, OP! Maybe tomorrow will be better Flowers

PurpleCrazyHorse · 19/11/2018 21:19

Is it possible to have something to look forward to after 6 months is up? Maybe a holiday or short break.

Bishalisha · 19/11/2018 21:27

It’s complicated (legal) so the people I have to talk to in real life don’t really understand, and it’s more exhausting having to explain it than it is therapeutic to them.

I won’t be able to afford a holiday (or anything!) after this, sadly, but something to look forward to would have been lovely

Tomorrow will be a better day, I’m sure x

Thinking of you Thanks ride it out, things will get better eventually

MamaLazarou · 19/11/2018 21:46

One day you will look back on this and marvel at your own resilience. You'll be so proud of yourself!

Mistlewoeandwhine · 19/11/2018 21:47

Try the little things - bubble bath, nice bar of chocolate, a funny film and a good stretch in bed. Books can take your mind off things really well. I have terrible anxiety and those are the things which help me xxx

I agree with those lovely little things above.
Headspace is a fantastic app, it’s a bit of time for me every day.

Be kind to yourself Flowers

NorksAreMessy · 19/11/2018 21:56

There are two things GUARANTEED to make you feel better every single day, whatever else is going on.

Exercise outside
Making something with your hands.

Whatever crap life is throwing at you these two small, simple things will help you detach and refocus.

I do hope life gets better for you soon xxxx

You'd be better eating something, even a bit of toast & jam, everyone feels worse when their blood sugars are low. Brew

justilou1 · 20/11/2018 14:40

Oh you poor thing... I am going through shit and don’t know what to do either. Suspect it’s different life stuff, but the effects sound similar. 💐☕️💐

Bishalisha · 20/11/2018 15:36

I’ve booked myself a doctors appointment to talk about my anxiety and dug my vape out.

A few small wins today- lovely coffee with some friends at their house. I spoke to someone who is working on my situation and was told they now fully ‘get’ the extent of what I’ve been trying to articulate so glad they ‘get’ me properly now.

I’m still talking with a horrible anxious wobble in my voice which is awful for me as I’m worried my children will pick up on it

Tomorrow is yet another day Smile
