Human resources question re mat leave

I have a permanent post at pay grade 1. I have just been offered a secondment from March 2019 - March 2020 at pay grade 2. But what happens if I get pregnant and go off on mat leave in say... December 2019? What pay grade will my mat leave be based on? Or does it depend on the place of work?

It will be calculated on your earnings during the qualifying week - 15 weeks before baby is due.

PS this is for statutory payments only. Enhanced mat pay and eligibility rules will vary between companies
