Small package to New Zealand?

I’m planning on sending a small package from the UK to New Zealand, containing a couple of pairs of children’s pyjamas. Realistically a padded envelope about 12 by 8 inches. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced parcel courier? Royal Mail are just so expensive even if you just choose the normal bog standard service. Last time I posted a young child’s T shirt it cost more than the item it contained.

no need to send clothing in a padded envelope - mailing bags are lighter and cheaper (recyclable ones, obviously!) which will reduce the cost

But why? There are plenty of PJs in NZ

Never thought of that, do you know where I can get some from please?

Not necessarily pyjamas, just some clothing as a gift for grandchild.

Not all NZ websites will let you pay with a foreign card, curiously, so check before you spend hours browsing!

You could try Farmer's OP. Not sure how much choice they will have. There's H&M now in NZ as well (I don't know about the international bank card situation that a PP mentioned though).

Thanks everyone.
