Potty Training Day 3

Posting here for traffic as no one seems to look at the potty training section much. DS is 3 years old (turned 3 last weekend) we're on day 3 of potty training. He's had 2 wet accidents first thing this morning before 8:30 (awake at 6:30) and since then has had 4 successful wees & 1 poo on the potty. He's told me each time, and pulls his own pants down to sit on the potty. We haven't left the house yet, planning on venturing to Nanna's house this afternoon. Does this sound like it's going well so far? I'm a worrier and DS is my only child (currently expecting DD). Any opinions would be appreciated Smile

My ds has just recently potty trained. He hasn’t left the house for 3 weeks until we were confident he cracked it.

He managed to go all day Saturday out the house with only one accident. But I made sure I carried spare clothes just in case

He hasn't left the house for 3 weeks!?!?! Shock

I would probably go to Nanna's house as long as she doesn't mind if he has an accident on her floor! He's more likely to have an accident there because he's out of his own environment and will be distracted. But it sounds like he's definitely getting it!

Unfortunately I work 3 days per week, I booked today off as holiday - my last day holiday to take this year- so I'd have 5 solid days (Sat till Wed) to concentrate on it fully, nursery will continue with it on Thur & Fri. We have a few short outings we need to make on Weds but one's a toddler class - in a Hall right next to toilet and one is his swim lesson so only half hour long. So hoping we manage.. does his progress sound about right for day 3?

Nanna has bought a potty specially for him Smileand has laminate floors throughout her apartment so that won't be a problem.

Sounds like he's doing really well. A visit to nannas would be fine - by the time you are potty training your second you will have school runs to contend with, and staying in all day won't be possible, staying in for three weeks seems a bit excessive!!!

I just worry as have read so many threads on different forums with peoples (somewhat miraculous) stories of their children being completely potty trained in 3 days and dry at night by 1 week! Hate to feel I'm failing Sad
