In early labour...to try and sleep or not?

Am 40+5 and my waters broke this morning, well they have been leaking slowly all day very annoyingly! Went in this morning to be checked over, all fine and was sent home as wasn’t having contractions. Told to go back in at 6:30 am today for induction if things haven’t progressed of their own accord.

I’ve been having pains/tightenings since 12:30pm and they have developed over the rest of the day into proper contractions. They seem to ramp up and get closer together and then tail off for a while....have just phoned back up as picking up again and I’ve also had some blood on my pad with the waters. They still don’t want me to go in! Advice is to make sure I’m eating, drinking and keep mobile until contractions much closer together. The thing is I’ve been up since 6:30 am, im shattered and im potentially gonna have to go in again at 6:30 to be induced which is only 5 hours from now. Really unsure whether to go to bed for a few hours and try and get some sleep in preparation for possible induction or do I battle through the night and stay awake, bouncing on my ball in the hope that things ramp up and I can go in before 6:30?
So bloody fed up right now....Sad

Rest! Best way to ramp up contractions I reckon...lets your body get on with it

What a choice - I think I would try to grab some sleep. I hope things pick up for you soon Flowers

Thanks all, I did decide to go to bed. Didn’t sleep much but I did manage to doze inbetween contractions. They’ve ramped up again the last hour or so so I’m going in shortly
