menstrualcup · 18/11/2018 23:49

I've been googling and watching YouTube videos in the hope there'd be some trick that would make it work for me

Is there one?? I have a comfycup but can't seem to insert it

I've used softcups fine...

I don't know about any brand other than mooncups.
But i flatten then fold to insert and give it a gentle pull once its in

PushItRealGood · 18/11/2018 23:55

I do the 7 fold which works well for me.

I do the punch with mine. I bought a soft meluna basic because the regular mooncup I could feel.

I'm not being thick am I - you fold and insert how you would with a tampon really?

The tag/stick thing you have at the bottom

Perhaps it just takes perseverance... ?

I dont think you are being thick at all. I think it's definitely a knack and it took me a long time.

I have never heard of a 7 fold. Had nonidea it could be folded more than once!!

I flatten the cup, then fold and insert.
To ensure its popped open properly give it a slight tug.

Your cuo could be different tho.

What instructions come with yours?

Yes about 'feeling' the mooncup. I think I'll check out the one you use

Blobby10 · 19/11/2018 09:11

I find that mine goes in better if I 'soften' it with warm water beforehand - it seems to fold easier. I just run it under the hot tap for a minute or so. Dont make the mistake I did of using one straight after it had been sterilised through boiling!! That was a bit too hot! Grin
