Anyone got any top tips for car hire from Tenerife South - or firms to avoid?

We used Auto Reisen in Gran Canaria - no hidden charges, etc. Just watch that if they upgrade you for free you have what you want in the car. We got upgraded from a mini to a small car but there was no Bluetooth in the larger car.

I've used Auto Reisin, Goldcar and Cicar in the last few years. Cicar was by far the best. Very easy to deal with and we usually get good deals on doyouspain.com.

Avoid Goldcar - every TripAdvisor forum for Spain is full of complaints about them.

Also used autoreisen and found them to be good.

Update - we just got back from Tenerife.

We used AutoReisen - they were excellent. Really efficient.
