“Lights OFF!”

I seem to be spending half my life telling my children to turn the lights off.

8 and 5.

Are my expectations too high?!

Miner's helmet each?

Am currently poised to install smart lights through my house so Alexa can turn them all off as literally YEARS of trying to get the kids to do it has failed.

Our youngest is 8 and oldest 17 and we're still trying to get them to turn lights off, I am constantly turning them off when there's no one in rooms, particularly bathroom or downstairs loo.

It’s like Blackpool illuminations in here

Said by my dad to me.

My 6 year old refuses to walk from one room to another unless every light in the house is ON. I'm always reminding DH 'mind and leave the light on!' 🔥💷

I hate sitting in the lounge with all other lights off - feels a bit studenty.

Especially with low power lights these days, not sure it makes much difference to costs.

And my mam to me. And me to my children. They leave the lights on too, unless I actually want them on, in which case they switch them off Confused.

I am reminded of Jim in the Royle family :)
