Going away in January, buy euros sooner or later?

I'm not too knowledgeable on politics, brexit etc. Need to change about a grand, should I do it now or later or will there be no difference?

It will fluctuate.

The more a hard Brexit looks inevitable, or if May is forced out, the more the £ will sink.

But if somehow Brexit is cancelled (2nd referendum etc), it will surge.

Completely impossible to tell.

Think I might start getting it together sooner rather than laterthen... will it actually make that much difference?

We got a revolut card and use the app to send an alert when the euro rate has gone up ( which you set yourself). Prior to the Brexit plan being published I managed to buy at 1.15, now it is about 1.11, so definitely worth monitoring. I think it will go up again, but will tank in the run up to Brexit, so keeping an eye out and keep buying more currency when it peaks is the way forward I think.
