Just that really
Lovely things that enhance a moment of your life that are free or cost very little

Clean sheets
The cool side of the pillow in the middle of the night
Home made soup
Birdsong
Cuddles
Smell of bread baking
Smell of freshly mowed grass
Sound of the sea
Sound of the wind rustling leaves in a tree
Exchanging a smile with a random stranger

goldinthemtherestars · 18/11/2018 12:02

Cutting any branches / flowers / leaves from the garden (or hedgerows if you have no garden) and arranging in a container (old tin can if that's all I can find) to brighten up my windowsill.

OhTheRoses · 18/11/2018 12:04

Sunshine
A silvery moon
Rainbows
Purring cat - can you hear him?
A tidy kitchen

goldinthemtherestars · 18/11/2018 12:06

Yes, a cuddle with my cat. That's the best free thing of all. :)

Onescaredmuma · 18/11/2018 12:11

My one year olds smile the sheer joy he has in the smallest things is amazing.
Seeing my girls laugh at the same time for some reason they look identical when they laugh hysterically.

niceupthedance · 18/11/2018 12:12

Singing
Music
Dancing
Dog walking on a sunny day
Perfect cup of tea
Getting into a good book
Talking with friends /partner

speakingtruthfully · 18/11/2018 12:38

Yes to talking with friends - caught up with several lovely friends this week that I don't see as often as I should

Baking a cake and giving it to someone
Random acts of kindness
Getting the car cleaned
Driving early in the morning
Road trips
Listening to animals contentedly munching their hay
Crisp sunny winters day

All of the above.

The sun's shining here today. Going to take the puppy out for a walk, I think! It's gorgeous out there.

A really good book.

Unexpectedly hearing from someone I like.

Unexpected free time.

My muscles aching after exercise class.

The smell of washing drying on the line.

Putting my hand in a pocket and finding money (this happens sooo rarely).

KeepServingTheDrinks · 18/11/2018 12:40

my DD being appreciative of something (this is even rarer than finding money!)

heyjude12 · 18/11/2018 12:57

First coffee of the day
Being the only person in the pool
A baby's smile
How you look freshly threaded!
The feeling after a much needed wee!
Changing colours of autumn leaves
Winter sun

nomoremrsniceguy · 18/11/2018 13:02

YY to purring cats & tired muscles after exercising

PottyPotterer · 18/11/2018 13:22

The very nervous street cat I've been feeding for 18 months came into my house for the first time today, we sat in front of the fire and he let me pet him for 15 whole minutes, he was so content his wee eyes were closing. It's the most trustful he's been and probably the most human contact he's ever had. He's always on high alert so it was lovely to see him relax for the first time.

TwllBach · 18/11/2018 13:27

I know it's probably really boring and such a cliche, but...DS. Every day, even if he is being a horrible, horrible child, just holding his hand or smiling at me or speaking (he has a bit of a speech delay and is 2.5) is just... I honestly haven't experienced joy like it. Joy that almost makes me cry sometimes.

My little lads spontaneously cuddling me and telling me they love me.

Getting into bed and having a proper full on body shudder at how comfy it is.

Lovely roast dinner cooked by my husband (although not really free I guess!).

Reliving lovely memories with my family.

gemdrop84 · 18/11/2018 15:58

Fresh bedding and snuggling with dh.
Kissing dh.
Cuddles from the dc (or the dogs).
A nice cup of tea and some biscuits if I get home before everyone else.
Being at the beach with the dogs.
Having a shower and getting into my cosy pyjamas after a long day.

BoringSoup · 18/11/2018 16:01

TheAlchemist101 · 18/11/2018 16:10

A nostalgic song coming on the radio whilst driving
Being greeted by the cat when arriving home from a long day at work
Smelling the first rose of the summer

primoestate · 18/11/2018 17:02

My dogs sheer joy at seeing me every morning after she wakes up.
My adult DC contacting me with a WhatsApp or a occasional phone call.
My DH being relaxed and happy.
A tidy, clean house.

Not very exciting but being organized makes me happy.
